The story of a world map

Can Fraster make a world map out of felt?

This was the challenge by the decoration of a large conference room.

The pictures illustrate the process from the little piece displaying Funen to the large world.
The world is cut in 5 mm felt and fitted on white plates in the size 90x90 cm, which subsequently are fitted onto the wall.

The whole world measures approx. 13 x 5 metres and is fitted on 56 plates.
