Mellana 1400

Mellana 1400 is a thick and woolly rug in pure wool. The yarn for a carpet in quality Mellana 1400 has been felted, which gives a strong and compact yarn without pilling.

Mellana 1400 is woven in 200 cm width, which means that carpets wider than 200 cm will be made from two pieces of carpet with a joint in the middle of the carpet.

The weave and design of Mellana makes it suitable for joining two or more carpet strips into one large carpet. The assembly is done with glue welding on the back of the carpet.

There are many options for edging a Mellana 1400 carpet.
It can be a simple Twist edging with a matching wool yarn, a binding in different qualities or as SimplyRugs, i.e. without binding.

Depending on the width of the carpet, it is usually only necessary to edge the carpet at the ends, as the sides of the carpet are finished with a woven selvedge.
